Yorkshire Puddings
The first time I ever had Yorkshire Puddings was back in London during my 2004 obligatory post-grad eurotrip. On that night, my companions and I sat down at my Aunty’s dinner table and were presented with a home-cooked meal. The feast was probably the only home-cooked meal most of us had in all of Europe for the month or so we were up there. Jumping from country to country, ducking into convenient stores and kebab stands really nurtured the appreciation for the warm soul food.
I think that memory is what I was trying to bring back by making this batch of puddings, today. I’d no idea how easy it was to make. In retrospect, although the flavor is what I expected it to be, it just wasn’t as tasty given the current context.
Meh. Strike one recipe off the bucket list.
