    Kaimuki Grill

Went to Kaimuki Grill with some friends last night. It’s a bit of a dive bar, but the food portions and prices was the major draw. Another plus is that it’s not that popular of a place so we were sure to have plenty of seats.

The main draw was the Kalua Pork Nachos but we ordered almost one of every food item in a menu. The small feast fed 7 of my friends and myself nicely. Combined with the two friendly waitresses who refused to be called “Aunty” (they warmly replied, “Hey! We’re not THAT old!”) the atmosphere was totally welcoming and casual.

Some minor gripes or notes would be that the kitchen closes early at 9:30p, and they could be a little less skimpy on the amount of Kalua Pork they put on the nachos, but otherwise an awesome little joint.

Whew, ok Copy + Paste, Yelp Review.

PS. Thanking Gary Saito for letting borrow his nifty f/1.4 50mm. GORGEOUS BOKEH!
